Photographs of the video installation 'The Messenger' by Bill Viola showed at the South London Gallery from 19 February to 13 March 1997. The video work was originally commissioned by, and displayed at, Durham Cathedral in September 1996 (following some controversy it was eventually forced to be shown behind a curtain).
