Scope and content
Installation photographs of the solo exhibition 'The Sculpture of C. Jagdish' which was held at the South London Gallery from 12 November to 19 December 1993. The artist created life-size figures of people and animals made out of papier-mâché. These were often highly detailed and decorated and contained a narrative on contemporary life in India. Jagdish also showed a series of large masks.
The exhibition later toured to Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Oriel 31, Wales.
