Photographs of Jorge Molder's solo exhibition which took place at the South London Gallery from 16 May to 21 June 1998. The exhibition was curated by Susan Copping on behalf of Portugal 600, a British Foundation connecting the arts and culture of Portugal with the UK and Ireland. It included large-scale, black and white pictures of people, places, events and objects. Much of the work revolved around the body, and the relationship (and the intimacy) between the subject and the object.
This exhibition was supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, UK, the Contemporary Art Institute of the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, the Luso-American Foundation, the Portuguese Centre of Photography, Oporto. It was presented in association with Visiting Arts.
