Scope and content
Photographs of Karen Kilimnik's solo exhibition which took place at South London Gallery from 9 to 13 July 2000. It was the first solo show in London of work by the American painter and installation artist. The paintings reflected her love of nature and animals, as well as her engagement with archetypal cultural phenomena. One series developed from her love of ballet and included photographs that were taken by Kilimnik at dress rehearsals for ballet performances.
