Scope and content
Installation photographs of work by Shelagh Wakely, exhibited in the rear garden at the South London Gallery from 28 September to 30 October 1994. The work consisted of glass squares covered with sheets of silvery aluminium leaf. Through the natural process of rainfall, the silver sheets were broken down into irregular patterns. Wakely drew a parallel between the delicate reflective patterns made by the rain and the fragmentation of the memory.
