Installation photographs of the group exhibition True Colours: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artists Raise the Flag which was held at the South London Gallery from 5 July to 7 August 1994. It included works by Brook Andrew, Richard Bell, Brenda L. Croft, Destiny Deacon, Rea, Lin Onus, Judy Watson, H. J. Wedge. Organised by Boomalli Aboriginal Arts Co-Operative in Sydney and INIVA, it presented works by eight artists of Aboriginal descent, who created designs and plans for flags which celebrated the legal recognition of traditional land rights. The exhibition included photography, video, paint on canvas and tea towels.
It toured from Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool and later travelled to City Gallery, Leicester.
