Catalogue of the exhibition 'English Landscape Drawing and Painting', held at the South London Art Gallery from 13 May to 17 July 1951 (with manuscript notes inside [insurance values?] and on the back cover). There is also correspondence (2 letters from February 1951) between L. Daniels (Principal of Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts) and A.E. Popham (Keeper of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum) about the loan of twenty Turner drawings from the British Museum, as well as drawings by Constable, Gainsborough, Cozens and Rowlandson; a copy of the loan agreement of drawings from the Turner Bequest, signed by L. Daniels 26 February 1951, with a manuscript list of the twenty drawings by Turner which requested on loan; a typescript document headed 'Notes on the Exhibitions'; a [press release] about the exhibition; a two-page typescript document written by J.V.I. Evans (Vice-Chairman of the Public Libraries Committee of Camberwell) about the exhibition; press cuttings about the exhibition (some are photocopies); and printed information (taken from a book or pamphlet?] about Frederick William Hayes (1848-1918).
