Material relating to the exhibition ‘New Patterns for Old Boroughs’, held at the South London Art Gallery from 12 to 30 September 1961. Includes: an invitation card to the private view; a catalogue; a letter to the advertising editor of Arts Review requesting to place an advertisement; copies of three notices placed in newspapers; original press cuttings and photocopies of several press cuttings; handwritten list of contacts for the exhibition; a press release; and a list of items to be included.
There is also a copy of the publication ‘New Sights of London’ published by the London County Council in 1960. It includes over 70 new photographs by Michael Peto and specially drawn maps. There are references to places in Southwark, including the Sceaux Gardens estate and the Brandon estate.
