Installation photographs of the group exhibition Refusing to Surface: Art and the Transfiguration of the Ordinary which was held at the South London Gallery from 26 March to 30 April 1993. It included works by Guillaume Bijl, Joan Brossa, Philippe Cazal, Tony Carter, Leo Copers, Thomas Grunfeld, Richard Hamilton, Yves Klein, Ange Leccia, Simon Linke, Caroline Russell, Haim Steinbach, Rosemarie Trockel, Peter Zimmerman, Bertrand Lavier; the fifteen European artists explored the subject matter of everyday object.
