Scope and content

Material relating to the exhibition 'Pottery Produced in London 1872 - 1922' held at the South London Art Gallery and Museum from 22 May to 30 September 1922. Includes photocopies of articles from 1922, as well as later articles from 1987. There is also correspondence between Kenneth Sharpe (Keeper) and a Miss Angela Summerfield about her article 'Pottery by the Martin Brothers' which had been published in The Anitique Collector (she has sent a copy to SLG). A photocopy of a copy of the catalogue in which annotations had been made; quite a long introductory 'note' (author not given). Several cases, with 3 including work solely by William de Morgan. There are black and white photocopies of photographs of some of the cases but no original photographs. WHat appears to be a press release. Templates of letters to send to possible contributors, and to Editors (of newspapers, etc).
